It's been extremely busy at the shop and I've had to deal with new employees, firing new employees, calming down patrons because of stupid ex-new employees, supply runs, new t-shirts (Small Fryes has a new t-shirt with our logo on it that people seem to really have taken to).
Anywho, I'm getting back to writing later tonight. Also, I just joined this great site called Kindertrauma that reviews horror movies new and old and has its members talk about their own trauma when watching a horror movie. I'll see if they post mine. My most traumatic scene from a movie was from Trainspotting and the baby scene. Not a horror movie but made me jump out of my skin and freak out for a long fucking time. But then, when I watched it, I was 33 and had just had Griffon (he was one week old at the time).
And here's footage of one of my favorite babies in a horror film that did not make me a head case. Unless you count laughing so hard you couldn't breathe.
Peter Jackson's Braindead's zombie baby is full of win and this scene has always been the funniest part of the movie. It's a super gross movie and I have to tell you, it's actually far too bloody for me, but the humor was great and the baby (who was not a human baby who was turned but a baby born from two zombies) was awesome.
I love how how our non-dead, non-zombie hero tries to figure out how he should care for the infant so he decides to take it to the park (in the movie, he has to take care of his zombie mother and a house full of her zombie friends):
